No O-O-7???

 007 is the "Standard  Ttrunk Dialling" code for Russia.

Unless there's a need to call.  Best not to call.  With recent issues of conflict in Ukraine, it might not be good to make nuisance calls there, tovarisch?.

I don't follow the news.  But, I've dialled the place.  Before the Russians got nasty with Ukraine?.

I make far too much noise.

examination papers etiquette?

Am I right in saying, if you are writing answers in an exam.  School certificate stuff.  If you right a phrase, or paragraph, etc.  if you want to strike it from your answer. Standard procedure is to strike a single line through it. I think that's correct.  9 have cague recollections the examiner may be able to provide additional marks.  Without marking it down   Be aware though, defamations shouldn't be allowed.
